Discipline Separates Winners from Losers
We know, we know. It is always quite hard to leave the casino or even determine when it is the best time to. Then again, you must be able to overcome this lump to go over to the winner column otherwise you forever stay at the losing end. You see, it takes discipline - so much of it - to keep your composure and your control. And discipline is much harder to manage when you are faced with too much temptation. What to do?
* Plan ahead. Before packing your bags on a gambling holiday in Las Vegas, try to plan how much money you are willing to splurge on the casino. Let's say you have set aside $500 for a five-day gambling adventure. That means your budget for a day is only $100. It is time to leave when you have already spent your casino budget for the day, minus the earnings, of course. Also, keep in mind that your gambling money should not be mixed with your spending money. It is not a good practice to skip a lunch just so you can spend more at the casino.
* Learn to leave the casino regardless when you are consistently winning your bets. You see, it is much harder to leave when you are ahead but believe us, that's just about the perfect time to. Think about beefing up your bankroll. That would not be possible if you will only put back your winnings to the casino.
* Do not go to the casino with your credit cards and your entire wallet's worth. Sometimes, it is much easier to risk money you are not meant to risk when they are readily available. Of course, it would be impractical to leave for the casino with just your gambling budget so this is what you can do: bring along some extra cash but make sure that they will not be spent on a roll of Roulette or a round of Blackjack.
* Spend your winnings on something meaningful. Treat your wife to a posh dinner date with your casino winnings and for sure, you will find that it is much better not to touch what you have earned from the casino to spend on another game.
Discipline works wonderfully inside the casino, with all its many traps. Learn to look the other way when temptation, threatening to take all of your money away, is staring you in the eye. Remember that when you arm yourself with enough discipline and control to leave even when you are ahead, there is no way that you would go home a loser.
